Tracking

How does tracking work?

LBOARD Carrier uses the GPS on a driver’s mobile device to securely collect real-time location data and provide automatic updates. The standard location update frequency is every 15 minutes. Auto-stop updates for arrivals and departures are triggered when a driver crosses a 500-meter geo-fence.

LBOARD only collects this data during hauls, within the time frame defined by the broker (usually starting a few hours before pickup and ending at delivery).

Is LBOARD always tracking me?

We only collect and share location data during the specified tracking session

As long as location access is granted on your device, location data is continuously collected. However, it is only accessed and shared with the customer upon tracking session initiation and until after the automatic or manual delivery is marked.

If LBOARD continuous access to location services is concerning, you can disable it at any time in the system settings of your device.

To learn more about how we use, collect and disclose the information, check our Privacy Policy.

Why should I choose "Always Allow" and not "Allow While Using" for location access, when my iPhone is prompting me? I don't want you to track me all the time

Choosing “Allow While Using” means LBOARD Carrier can only acquire your location when the app is open, which may cause the customer to lose track of the load when the app is closed. This also prevents automatic stop status updates (arrivals/departures), increasing the likelihood of check calls.

In contrast, selecting “Always Allow” enables LBOARD Carrier to track your location even when the app is in the background or closed while driving, reducing the need for check calls or manual updates. We only collect and share location data during the specified tracking session

I don't want to be tracked. How do I stop it?

You can disable location services anytime in your device settings, either for the entire device or just for the LBOARD Carrier app.

Does LBOARD share my tracking data?

Certainly not. The location data we acquire via the LBOARD Carrier app allows us to provide real-time location updates to customers, helping them eliminate manual check calls, streamline operations, and meet their expectations for freight haul service reliability and transparency.

To learn more about how we use, collect and disclose the information, check our Privacy Policy.

Load board

How can I see available loads?

The real-time load board is available directly in LBOARD Carrier.

If you already have the app but can’t see the load board, it means you lack the necessary permissions. Please contact us at support@lboard.app, via the support chat here, or directly in the LBOARD Carrier app to get set up.

What types of trucks and trailers do you have loads for?

  • Van
  • Reefer
  • Flatbed
  • Stepdeck
  • Power only
  • Box truck
  • Hotshot
  • Container
  • Lowboy
  • Double drop
  • Expedited
  • Specialized

Can drivers see rates on the loads?

Can drivers see rates on the loads?
It depends on their setting. By default, drivers cannot view available loads, rates, or place bids.

However, if your driver has been explicitly assigned the respective permissions, then yes, they can.

While we are adding fleet management and permission management capabilities to our app, you can easily check the current driver’s setup and adjust it to your needs by contacting our support team at support@lboard.app, via the support chat on this website, or directly in the app.
